Page 327: The Inexplicable Acceptance

/ Saturday, December 10, 2016 /

Some story is shorter than the other. And with him, it started with that glint in his eyes that you saw that night. That you tried to describe..to understand.

There’s some amount of sadness, and some recklessness, and some mischievousness.
But it ended abruptly, before you could understand. Before you're sure.
But somehow you’re fine with that.

The inexplicable acceptance.

It’s kinda funny how Interpol’s songs are the salve that I need every time I decided to heal the wound and move on.
Every time I realized that the ship has sailed.

Despite the sexual innuendos in their lyrics, Paul Banks seems to know how to represent how I feel inside when it comes to letting go. Or to comprehend how weary souls try to deal with all “bad lucks” they have.

Anyway, guess it’s the sign I need to continue chasing my dreams. No pause this time, Neng Tia.
No pause.

I know Carlos D has left, but for me, this is interpol.

Page 62: A Glass I Hope Will Never Shatter

/ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 /
I’ve seen a lot of things in your big-cat-like eyes:

I’ve seen tears were streaming down, sometimes for unimportant and silly reasons, sometimes for rueful stories in the past.

I’ve seen sadness, anger and disappointment when your heart torn apart.

I’ve seen hope and dreams when we’re sitting and talking about a lot of things near our college, where we can see graveyard and “Jembatan Cincin”.

I’ve seen happiness when you’re sincerely laughing. When you finally won the item you’ve always wanted on some bargaining. When you succeeded to held surprise party for my birthday. When you hear good things happen to people you love. Or when you finally found the right man and took a vow to be with him as his wife.

Congratulations, my dearest Diade Riva. If things get rough, I want you to play and listen to "If You Fall" by Azure Ray…

Let's talk and we'll fill the air with imagery that lasts forever
So this is love
Yeah that's a lovely thought
You have to care for it to keep it together
If you fall will you get up
You're stuck in a dream will you wake up
And if you fell in love will you hold on to it
And if it's cold will you stay warm
You drift too far will you swim towards the shore
And if you fell in love will you hold on to it
Lets just sing and we'll fill the air with melodies that blend together
You speak so sweet with words so delicate
A glass i hope will never shatter
If you fall will you get up
You're stuck in a dream will you wake up
And if you fell in love will you hold on to it
And if it's cold will you stay warm
You drift too far will you swim towards the shore
And if you fell in love will you hold on to it

Be good. Be happy…

Page 51: Petite Story of Feet

/ Tuesday, March 15, 2011 /

I like to take pictures of my feet. Wearing shoes, of course, because they don’t look pretty cute without ‘em. x)

Why? To remind myself when shite happens that, “hey, I’m still here.”

That I still have tools to go to places I want. Search things I crave. Create my own adventure. Walking, running, hopping, stomping, dancing, playing and learning. Sometimes these feet get tired, but somehow, I know they’ll be fine. And sometimes they get lost in this big and absurd carnival called life, but I believe they know when to stop and start to seek the right path.

Be strong, feet. Be good. :)

Ah, strut those shoes
We'll go roaming in the night
